I might not have ever filed one post under 4 different categorizes.  This certainly qualifies.

Last Tuesday, I had the blessing to go to Manchester for the day on a leisurely mid-week trip.  The train from Edinburgh to Manchester was an extremely pleasant one.  I saw some of the most beautiful countryside I’ve ever laid eyes on.  Can you imagine being blasted by scenes of rolling grass hills, sheep, cows, Scottish men playing golf, and then more sheep, and a few more cows?  It’s therapeutic, even when there’s nothing to soothe.  I roamed around Manchester a bit and thoroughly enjoyed the vibe the great city gave me.  I visited one of my favorite shops in the world and got acquainted with the central area, but that wasn’t why I went.

The trip was focused on one thing, and that was to see Manchester United play.  It’s always been a dream of mine, one of those things you put on your “things to do before you die” list.  There’s a lot of history to why I appreciate Manchester United, and some of it gets pretty personal.  I’ll tell you, walking into Old Trafford that rainy evening gave me the chills that I previously only thought a young child could experience.  I sat there in 40 degree weather, probably the happiest I’ve been in a while.  Here’s some photographs of the trip I took with my weapon of choice (an iPhone) that I would love to share.
