Inspiration || Burberry’s Art of Trench

leave a comment »

Theres nothing that oozes class more than a well-sported trench coat.  Of course, there’s nothing more to a trench coat then Burberry.  Burberry teamed up with (author, blogger, photographer, and icon) Scott Schumann who I blogged about a good while back.  The man has been making his rounds lately and now comes an epic collaboration that sets the tone for a fresh branch of marketing and solidifying your brand.  It’s not like Burberry needed it, but they definitely shot themselves into the blogosphere with this one.  Excellent photographs from around the world taken by the Sartorialist, comments, “likes”, user-submissions, it’s good fun.  Check it out here.

eBay Treasures || Vintage Outdoor Clothing Store

I literally stumbled upon this guy who has more than 200+ vintage pieces including at least 40+ vintage parkas from the 80’s in 60/40 or whatever you want.  Seeing as he has about 20 pictures per item, I’m gonna say he’s quite the catch.  Check it out:

Stumbled On || Hickoree’s Hard Goods

leave a comment »

Definitely one of the brighter finds lately.  Saw this at youhavebrokentheinternet and I must say, excellent stuff (blog and website that is).  Hickoree’s Hard Goods finds some prime vintage pieces, excellent tool bags,  as well as brands like Folk, Hill-Side, Portland General Store, Field Notes, etc. But decent prices, prime selection, and wonderful websites equates to a website I’ll be checking up ever so often.

Vintage Pendleton Flannels

leave a comment »

20090716-IMG_0004So I said in my Rose Bowl post a few days ago that I’d bring you some more info about some of my pickups.  Here are 2 vintage Pendleton flannels I picked up last weekend at the Rose Bowl Flea Market.  Obviously this is awful weather to attempt to wear these, but nonetheless should kickass once the clouds start forming again.  Should be more of a testament for how painfully awesome the Rose Bowl Flea Market is.

I’m still digging up info about vintage Pendleton shirts, but all I’ve managed to find in their website was some obvious revelations.  They’ve been at it for 100+ years, making the best wool products in America, top notch, luxury fabrics, yada yada yada.  If anyone has any info on these, let me know.
