The Man Who Shops the Globe
Talk about a dream job. Sundance is about to debut their new show “Man Shops Globe” in which Keith Johnson, women’s store giant Anthropologie’s lone antique shopper, travels the world and finds various vintage goodness to place in the hundreds of stores around the world. Not only that, he occasionally designs his product on the spot, or commissions artists to produce something for him. Watch the previews and just see the treasures he finds in the many corners of the globe. Debuts 10/7 at 10 PM on Sundance.

Discovery || El Rastro Madrid
(Keep in mind these are personal discoveries, not always rare finds) One of my favorite memories of Madrid was the El Rastro market. If you’ve ever been to the famed Rose Bowl Flea Market, imagine that spilled out onto the streets for an entire Sunday, covering a good 8-10 block radius. Think of everything you want form a Flea Market (besides hardcore vintage Levi’s), and you’ll find it here. Spanish men buying various tools, kids crowding around video game stands, women slashing through piles of cheap clothing, and mounds of old trash that for some reason doesn’t seem so trashy when heaped atop one another. Definitely shouldn’t miss this if you ever pass by Madrid.
