Happy New Year 2010
Be safe everyone. Make sure you go through the motions and watch the Rose Parade and pop a beer back during the “Grandaddy of them All”. Enjoy.
Vintage Pendleton Flannels
So I said in my Rose Bowl post a few days ago that I’d bring you some more info about some of my pickups. Here are 2 vintage Pendleton flannels I picked up last weekend at the Rose Bowl Flea Market. Obviously this is awful weather to attempt to wear these, but nonetheless should kickass once the clouds start forming again. Should be more of a testament for how painfully awesome the Rose Bowl Flea Market is.
I’m still digging up info about vintage Pendleton shirts, but all I’ve managed to find in their website was some obvious revelations. They’ve been at it for 100+ years, making the best wool products in America, top notch, luxury fabrics, yada yada yada. If anyone has any info on these, let me know.
Rose Bowl Flea Market
I’ve gone to the last two Rose Bowl Flea Markets and I find myself perpetually mesmerized. There’s a mountain full of treasures to find, and every single thing entails some form of lesson, whether it be denim, clothes, era, fabric, craftsman, author, location, history, etc. Here’s a shot of my pickups from yesterday. More on these later. All-around, a wonderful way to spend the Sunday morning.
